Consulting - not so much. Producing - that’s the ticket
Given my background, it’s cliche that I should go into consulting. But yuck! I’m afraid I’ve not had good experiences with consultants. Skipping past the old ‘borrow your watch’ story, a consultant is too often motivated to make sure to maintain an air of great knowledge, to be dispensed as slowly as possible, on an hourly fee basis. I prefer to present myself for judgement as a “producer”. My client has a challenge and is impatient. The challenge has one or more of the following characteristics:
