Writing Samples



I was blessed with parents that would make whatever sacrifice was required to provide for the education of their children, which numbered five.  

In my case and that of my older brother, the cornerstone of our education was St. Xavier High in Cincinnati, Ohio.  I felt at the time that this education in an all boys high school was fantastic because of the mathematics, chemistry, physics, and even foreign languages.  These disciplines would surely serve me will in my future career.    

In retrospect, I was absolutely wrong.  Far more important than any of these subjects were two others.  It happens that St. X. required all students to have four years of composition and four years of public speaking. Having confidence to write and talk have proven to be the most important life lessons of all.

Now I know I can write and talk.  The value of what I say in either communication method must be left to the judgment of the reader and listener.
